Retailers are continuing to invest in digitalisation, and at the top of the list is the linking of online and offline shopping - this was the bottom line of the official EuroShop closing statement. Thus xplace served the main topics of this year's edition of the world's leading retail investment-goods fair with its portfolio. A total of around 94,000 visitors from 142 countries came to Duesseldorf from 16 - 20.02.2020.

The Goettingen-based system integrators and solution providers for POS digitalisation from xplace presented themselves this year together with their strategic partner Bison Schweiz at a large joint stand in Hall 6. Under the motto The Smart Evolution of Retail, two topics in particular were in the spotlight: large-scale ESL projects and xplace's new POS data platform biscuit, which is named after the Internet cookie for a reason: The trade fair case on display demonstrated live how biscuit brings the advantages of e-commerce to the POS and how conversion can be improved and a significant sales uplift achieved through automatic content playout based on instore analytics. xplace CEO-Marco Wassermann also presented biscuit in a presentation at the Omnichannel-Stage of EuroShop.

"At our booth we had very good talks with our customers and many interested parties from almost all retail sectors, made exciting new contacts and were also pleased about the numerous visits of our partners. This means that at EuroShop we once again took the opportunity to reach major international players in the retail business and to convince them of our solutions," concludes Wassermann. The xplace co-founder is highlighting three trade fair highlights: With biscuit, xplace successfully presented an innovation for the realisation of omnichannel, POS digitalisation and conversion improvement. Thanks to the premiere of the joint stand with Bison, it was also optimally possible to show the joint competence and experience in ESL projects. "And thirdly, we are of course proud of the award as Top Supplier Retail 2020 by the EHI Retail Institute and the Lebensmittel Zeitung. That's why we can already draw an all-round positive conclusion about the trade fair. Many thanks to all visitors, partners, supporters and helpers who have contributed to the success of our trade fair presence," says Wassermann.
