The screens in our communal areas enable us to significantly improve our communication and information transfer to our guests.
Thanks to the high-quality displays, we can present important information, the weather, appointments and announcements clearly and visibly for all guests and employees. Especially in times when digital communication is becoming increasingly important, the screens help to make our processes more efficient and create a modern atmosphere - fitting for our Sternenlichter children's and youth hospice in Göttingen, the third children's and youth hospice in Lower Saxony, which opened in April 2025.
xplace has implemented a customised digital signage solution at the Sternenlichter children's and youth hospice in Göttingen that noticeably enriches the everyday lives of families, guests and staff. As part of this heartfelt project, a comprehensive system of screens and digital content was implemented that combines information transfer and entertainment.
In the entrance area, a large screen with the powerful BEECEEN player creates an inviting first impression. This player uses four customised templates in the hospice's corporate design. These include a welcome screen for visitors, a clear weekly menu, a template for activities and events and a current weather display. In this way, important information is communicated in an appealing way and contributes to orientation and a feel-good atmosphere.
A total of eight modern SmartTVs have been installed in the family apartments. These TVs offer families an easy and convenient way to enjoy their favourite shows and films - an important contribution to relaxation in a challenging time.
Screens have been installed in the duty room and meeting room for the hospice staff. These devices help staff with organisation and communication and make their day-to-day work much easier.
A screen has also been installed in the corridor, which will be connected to a games console in the future. This element expands the leisure options on site and offers space for playful distraction and joint activities.
With this comprehensive digital signage concept, the Sternenlichter children's and youth hospice is setting new standards in the use of modern media technology. xplace is delighted to make a contribution with this solution that goes far beyond mere information and supports people in difficult situations.
